I put in a prescription order through their automated phone in service at about 11 am sunday. It told me it would be ready for pickup at 530 that afternoon. I show up at 530 for pickup and discover the store has closed early at 5 for Easter. I went in the following day at noon and my script was still not ready and they had no record of it being filled 🙄

I have never been moved to write a review such as this in my 80 yrs. But I am motivated by the review submitted recently by the customer witnessing a staff member verbally abusing a customer. The 'young lady" who seems to be running the cash registers has some major issues...........She has been very abusive to me, yells at me and talks to me as if I have a mental problem, can't civilly answer a simple query (eg. I was asking how my points were being applied .....not complicated question, plus I am always polite and soft spoken..............I can't begin to tell you how verbally beaten I felt, when I finally got my shopping paid for and was out of there. This is not the first time........in the past year, I've gone in, to shop the flyer sales, approx a half dozen times or more and each time , this same person "helped" (NOT) and each time has escalated her abusive verbage. I'm a senior, visibly handicapped (carry a cane). I could write more, but will leave it at that. I doubt if I can bring myself to shop there again, regardless of how good the flyer sales are. (plus I have a lot of "reward point banked there) I was shaken to the core (this was Sun. Oct. 6th). This 'young lady' has been working there for a very long time. Are you not aware of her problems, which are escalating? P.S. I had to click one star in order to post this......otherwise, "not stars"

The pharmacy staff has changed and we are devastated at the rudeness, mistakes on our prescriptions and unwillingness to answer questions. The previous pharmacists were lovely, helpful and always smiling. Today my husband called in asking about the Covid booster and whether it was the new version. The very rude Chinese pharmacist gave a weird answer and when my husband asked her again but in a different way, she actually snapped at him and said she didn’t have time for questions and that she explained it once already. We agreed right then and there that we’d be leaving as customers……considering the awkwardness of the location it was only the friendly and helpful previous staff who kept us going there.

UPDATE from my previous 4 star review:
Moved here two months ago and transferred my prescriptions from Rexall in Nanaimo to the Rexall in Courtenay on Cliffe Avenue. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They never have medications ready even when I give them a week to get them ready and still had to wait 2 hours in the store and they got the prescription wrong so I had to go back. On my last trip I called ahead and said "Hey, I've got 4 days left on my meds, when can I come pick up my new blister packs?" They replied "We need two days". I said "Ok, I'll call back in two days", fast forward two days-- I called and low and behold it's not ready and they asked for 2 more hours to get it ready.
The staff seems well meaning but management or whoever is in charge has absolutely no organizational skills or time management abilities.
Only positive thing to say is Jeff was great and apologetic for what is clearly his boss's failures.

I went to get dressing for a wound. As I walked to pay I heard an employee yelling at a lady customer and then yelled at her to get out and never come back. I was so sorry for the lady being yelled at. It really distressed my service dog in training and she laid down rather than sitting at my side.. I won’t be going back any time soon.
