I was unsure of whether to write this review, or send a direct message, but thought the information could help others looking for a lash tech.
I've been getting lash lifts for years and have had good lash lifts and over processed lash lifts. I've had the most success with Yumi and keratin lash lifts (which no lash tech in the Comox Valley offers to my knowledge). After a lot of research I decided Kriya beauty would be the best fit. I gave the studio a couple of tries, but haven't been happy with the results each time.
Each time, my lashes have turned out overcurled (hitting my eyelid/brow bone, or curling back on themselves). I have slightly hooded eyes, and from the first appointment warned that I wanted a less aggressive curl so my lashes wouldn't hit my brow bone. On the subsequent lash lifts, I made the same request and explained how the lashes can sometimes dig in. There was a bit of a gap between my appointments, so she likely didn't remember me, and I don't know if they keep a record of the curls used for clients as some studios do. It's possible the same curl was used each time?
The lash lifts always look fine at the studio, but continue to curl when I go home, digging into the skin of my brow bone the next day despite proper aftercare. My lashes only look good when they are soaking wet after a shower.
I'm not sure whether this is the result of overcurling, over processing, or wrong application.

So happy I found Tanya who was willing to work with my 'too old' pigment on my brows. (other places all wanted me to do a removal before getting them done) Tanya did a beautiful job of adding the hair strokes in a darker shade and this did the trick! thankyou!

I recently went in for a tattoo and I can’t wait to go back. As someone who is absolutely terrified of needles, I was so comfortable. Tanya was so professional and constantly checking in throughout my appointment to make sure I was doing okay and comfortable at all times. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting some fine line work! Amazing

Tanya did a group tattoo session for my friends and I recently. The communication leading up to the appointment was great. On the day of she had our tattoo pieces ready for us in different sizes to choose from and helped us with placing them in the right spots. Tanya provided a calm and clean atmosphere and a memorable experience for us.
