Returning phone calls seems to be an impossible task for this branch... just like being able to talk to a human being.

They need to change their banking hours so people who work can come to the bank without having to take time off work. The only day they stay open, a hole 30min later is Friday's until 5pm, still not open late enough for people who work normal hours. Not open on Saturdays. If we didn't have our mortgage through this bank we would move elsewhere. I opened my own account to TD with great banking hours.

Come in for a bank appt. Get treated like you’re off the street and almost denied use of a washroom….not interested in employees long explanation as to why…. You can’t expect people to be here for appts without washrooms?…… very not cool.

I’ve been coming here all the time in the early mornings to use the ATMs when there’s actually parking outside and now I find out that they lock the doors so now I can’t do that anymore. Very annoying when I now have to come down when they open and fight for parking.
Edited 11 months later, doors are open early mornings again, but good luck getting the ATMs to do anything other than withdrawal cash. I’ve never gotten them to deposit my cash. Always have to go up to a teller.

Not about Scotiabank, but specifically this branch. Completely understaffed and unresponsive to anything. Can’t book an appointment to see an advisor at all as they are all booked solid 6 weeks ahead and can’t do anything unless you go into the branch for it. Had to change an appointment due to a conflict and got ZERO response from anyone including the assistant manager who said they would talk with the advisor to get in touch with me. So I go to the Comox branch now which is a little further, but at least they seem to know what customer service actually is. When I had to get a card mailed there for replacement after just moving was a complete gong show too. No one there could tell me what was going on with it other than to come back the next day and check again.
