On our way up to Campbell River last week, we pulled into Weinberg's Good Food a local general store + grocery + café tucked behind the gas station by the Buckley Bay – Denman Island ferry terminal.
I call a lot of places “hidden gems,” but this one literally is! They’ve somehow fit local produce, unique imported products you won’t find in big grocery stores, locally crafted goods and a mini café to grab a drink and snack for the road, all into a cozy little space.
If you’re driving north toward the Comox Valley or Campbell River, take a quick pit stop to refuel (you and the car)!

This place is such a gem! They have the most amazing selection of specialty home goods, beautiful organic produce, local artisanal bread, delicious meats and cheeses, and so much more! &&& a coffee bar! The owner is so cool & lovely and she has such a great eye for unique and quality products. This shop is an absolute MUST visit if you are on the island. This is by far one of my most favourite stores ever, it is so special. The

We've actually known there was a little store beside Fanny Bay Oyster Shop but we hadn't gone in. When we did check it out it was a lot more than we expected. Lots of high end condiments and little known products that looked really good. We only ended up getting a handful of things as we had already been shopping but we will be back! The two ladies that were in the shop were very helpful and friendly. They also serve lattes/ espresso based drinks as well. Mocha was really good. We ended up checking out their Qualicum location as well. Kind of hard to find but well worth it.

Great tasting espresso, and the owner was kind enough to make me a Cortado off-menu. The shop inside is wonderful, lots of unique gift items for sale. Fresh farm strawberries were very tasty!

Amazing find! Organic/local
Produce, thoughtfully curated groceries and snacks, and cute artisanal goods. Looked like they had solid collection of coffee and tea lattes and vegan/gf baked goods. Will be back! Owner was super kind:) love supporting these kind of local spots
