A few pool tables, front garage doors open in summer for open air feel. Cheap beer specials. Large stage for venues.

Pub during the day that offers food. Mostly an older crowd during the day at night they feature a variety of themed nights and live music that cater to a younger crowd. Cheap drinks, good people.

This is a great place to get drunk...
They have some great shows also and Free Pool on Sundays...
It's an all around good small town bar.
If you are older I would suggest sticking to the day time hours, especially on weekends.
If you are younger and like to party hard then show up after about 10pm.
I would defiantly vote this best bar to get drunk in.....

Personally, my experience that I had at the Avalanche was one of the best I have had in years. Great food and excellent service. But to top it off, the lady (Kirten I think) at cost check was polite and professional. Ensuring everyone left the establishment with smiles on their faces. As well as this, she was able to handle a rude intoxicated costumer well when he went behind the counter and tried to get back his coats. she deserves a raise for all her hard work.

Went early to inquire about tickets for an event happening later that night and had to deal with an extremely sassy bartender who was of no help and didn't even know there was a show at the bar! Fast forward to 1a.m, I am trying to get my coat for coat check and I have called a cab to be there in 20 minutes. It took me over half an hour to get my coat and the girl in charge was letting her friends budge as well as serving after last call I believe. She even went to the back and dissapired for 10 minutes with nobody to cover her, I assume smoke break because she came back empty handed. I missed my cab and had to walk home in -5 because the cab company wouldn't pick up after I missed the first car. Not impressed at the very unprofessional treatment by staff. It will have to be an amazing act for me to attend that dive bar again....and I will never use the coat check service there again
