By far the worst transit!
They were already very unreliable before they upped the prices and now they expect us to pay more for nothing??
I’ve had so many rude grumpy drivers, busses driving right past my stop while I’m clearly right there and the busses to and from Cumberland are horrendous
I have to wait 2 hours in the cold just to go home after work on a Sunday.
If you expect us to pay more maybe add more frequent busses and train your staff to be respectful. If you want us to be respectful to the staff maybe make sure they’re doing the same!
That being said there are like 2 drivers I’ve had that are very pleasant

December 11. If you work 9-5 and you rely on the bus no.1 to Anfield, you better quit ! The 8.35 am Guthrie and MacDonald NEVER stops, functioning as a school bus for Isfeld, even if it's followed by a school bus for Isfeld immediately behind ! Same as having 2 no 1 buses that come roughly at the same time. 1 to Anfield and 1 to Downtown. Same itinerary, same number, same time. They ran out of imagination I guess. Pretty funny otherwise but the joke is on the taxpayers. I was late to a doctor's appointment earlier because of this, having to walk 3km instead and it's not the first time, it's an everyday occurrence if you're trying to take this bus. Don't even bother. They surely don't. It's not even the drivers in this case, it's the management.
Update. Thursday, September 11, the bus 1 from Comox Mall towards Anfield, the driver came at 6.07 pm instead of 5.57 pm and very rudely and arrogantly denied my 10 yo kid's mini scooter on the bus, although I mentioned he won't be riding it or stuff like that, that I will be holding it, after standing and waiting in the bus stop for him to show up. This is the scooter. We've been on every bus with this scooter before, no issue. So yes, this is the kind of service we're getting. We're walking / scootering home as we speak. After paying a monthly bus pass. He even had the guts to suggest us to dump the $278 scooter in the bushes and come back later for it :)) now that's what I call extreme logic, intelligence and imagination. Thank you for the wonderful service and the brilliant advice ! I wouldn't trust him with driving that bus.

Totally joke of a company and service, can't get any worst than that, with the drivers calling in sick every single day and buses being cancelled every single day, especially on Fridays when the drivers decide to go for a well deserved long weekend every single week, alerts being sent at 7.44 am for the 7.32 am and 7.53 am bus, nobody picking up the phone, can't even leave a complaint message because their voicemail is overflowing with complaints already, 6 months strike blocking the entire region, many rude drivers not saying hello and driving like crazy, repeated complaints to the supervisors who have a job just to pretend they supervise something but no action, no change, a total disgrace. This company totally has to leave the region and be replaced because it's a burden for the tax payers. Worst thing ever.

This morning, I had to pay $20 to take a cab to work because of bus cancelations. This is the third time in three or four months I had to take a cab either to work or home from work. And yet I also pay Comox Valley bus transit $55 a month. I work for less than $20 an hour. I can't afford to be paying $20 for a cab because Comox Valley bus transit can't provide a service I already paid for!

16 year old daughter and her 15 year old friend denied boarding on a bus at the Walmart stop that only had one other person on the bus because they had one of those small razor scooters that wouldn't fold up. Sighting that they could become a projectile in an accident and take out someone's eye.Bus # 8 driver stated he wasn't about to lose his job or his home over breaking policy. Policy states it is up to the driver discretion.Must be a pretty weak union if someone is afraid to lose his job over getting a couple of teenages 10 blocks.Kids pleaded with the driver" please sir we have no other way home "
So I jumped in the car to go pick up the stranded kids and was there in time to watch bus #1 being loaded up with a new ping pong table and a 6 ft metal tubed table. Took 2 guys and another driver to load it.
Have been on the phone since 9 a.m. this morning trying to get an answer from our local transit office and three left messages to head office in Victoria. Apparently they have all been in meetings! It's now 3 p.m.
Denied boarding for a scooter the size of a skateboard. Just another old bully pushing his weight around.

took the bus the other day November 5th at around 12:30 the 1 anfield centre, and this old grumpy man didnt even wait a second to let me scan my umo code before he slammed on the gas and almost sent me to the back of the bus. multiple people asked politely for him to open the back door and he refused then went off about how he was a "public servant not a babysitter" and how he gets "really pissed off" when people treat like one. honestly the fact that these rude bus drivers get paid 21$ an hour for these rude acts of service and aggressive behaviour is outrageous and needs to be fixed. on another note, we have one bus driver who wears flowers around him all the time and tells jokes when running ahead of schedule. and hes the sweetest 🫶
