My girlfriend and I are big fans. The food and service were great. We had the cauliflower, crispy ribs, and the prawn/smoked salmon linguine. The cauliflower was crisp with the perfect amount of seasoning. The ribs were on the sweeter side for me but the ginger glaze tasted amazing. The linguine was delicious and generous in portion size. Everything tasted amazing and we will definitely visit again the next time we're in Courtenay.

Here we are again. This time my wife went with her burger which she once more devoured with delight and I tried the Ramen. I am not yet a hot spice person and was delighted that the cook used his expertise with veggies, herbs and spices to give the dish a heightened taste without the added fire which seems to be prevalent nowadays. Ate half and had the other half later that day. A lot of food in that container. Once more, really impressed with the food taste/presentation. Still need to try the ribs before the menu changes. Definitely a 5 all the way.

I had to try Black Market Food Truck after seeing all the high praise on Google, and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, and the crispy rib stood out as absolutely outstanding. The flavors were spot on, and everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth the hype, and I’ll be coming back for more!

1st visit. Wife said “Best Burger” ever. Will now use Black Market Burger as her measuring stick for any to follow. I had the Shrimp & Smoked Salmon Linguine which I rate very highly. I now have been scolding myself for taking so long to find this hidden gem of a food truck. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great meal.

Oh my god, I’ve never wanted to make love to my food like I did the chicken and brie sandwich I had here today. The marriage of flavours between the balsamic onion jam, the garlic mayo, the crispy onion and the herbs of the chicken.. made me never want the burger to end. It was a whole delicious mess of absolute perfection, and I’m sharing the pic of it half eaten because why not.
It was the best chicken burger I’ve ever had.
