I placed an order for a carrot cake for a baby shower for my daughter. It was delivered and we were all blown away at how absolutely beautiful the cake was. In addition it tasted fabulous!!! Thanks Hot Chocolate great job!!!

Maybe I've been desensitized by inflation (and shrinkflation), but I was very pleasantly surprised by the prices (lower than expected) and sizes (bigger than expected).
I ate a sandwich sized breakfast pastry with egg, cheese, and bacon, that cost $6 ish. It was one of the most delicious crispy, flakey, light, fantastic pastries I've ever had - so fresh! (and they warmed it exactly the right amount, when I asked for warmed)
We (party of two) sat undisturbed at the window counter for a while and enjoyed the quiet store and the friendly clientele.
Went back the day after and had another delicious experience! Great service and friendly staff.

Outstanding overnight delivery (from Vancouver Island to the mainland) of beautiful and delicious chocolates, as a gift for a family member who remembers these as the best chocolates she has ever had, several years after she spent a summer in Courtenay. Thank you to the very kind and helpful person who took my call and gave me some ideas before I placed the order online.

This is the pinnacle of chocolate deliciousness, in my opinion. Well worth the calories. Other great cakes and treats, but a box of chocolates from Hot Chocolate is worth it's weight in rubies.

There is so much in this little store. So far I go mainly for the bread. Save money and buy a frozen loaf. Delish bread. One third of their baked treats were gluten free. They also had a gluten free cake. Friendly and helpful staff.
