Possibly the best CTC I've visited. Store was immaculate, well stocked shelves and everything was faced forward.
I never thought I would say this about a Canadian Tire but there were plenty of staff available to help AND enough cashiers available for the amount of traffic . It was definitely a pleasant experience.
Note to the management team, please come train the Ottawa stores.

Absolutely the worst customer service at the counter in the auto service department. I purchased a new windshield wiper in this store in the summer and had a service counter guy install it. It never worked properly. It was loudly rubbing the windshield and looked a bit wonky. Yesterday I went back before a long car trip and asked if someone would check it out. The older service guy said that it was perfectly fine and I could buy a package of two (unneeded) for $50, but they would be the identical blade. I said I’d have my mechanic look at it. His response before stomping off was “Suit yourself.” I went straight to my mechanic who said that it was the wrong blade and that it was too loose. He told me what to buy at Lordco. I went there, bought it, had it installed and it’s perfect. No loud noise, no flapping around and no surly condescending service guy! Never will I go back to the auto service at CT. Ladies, beware! Apparently in that store, women are considered stupid second class citizens. Go and see Daryll at Budget Brake and Muffler instead, or pop into Lordco. They were all great!

I am a big fan of Canadian Tire Stores..we have purchase hundreds of items over the years..especially a Christmas..My wife has a Canadian Tire card that we have used for larger purchases..A year ago, I purchased a replacement chain for a electric chain saw I bought earlier in the spring.. didn’t need it until the following late spring, when I found out it was the wrong size.. the next time I was in Canadian Tire Courtenay, I tried to return it as I had already purchased the proper size a couple of weeks earlier.. they were able to look up my original purchase date and the date I bought the replacement.. but refused to refund as it was over 6 months from the original purchase..well for less than 50 dollars… I will not purchase any more large items fro Canadian Tire Courtenay again.. Had to get this off my chest

I have NEVER been treated so poorly by someone working customer service in my life. The guy in the automotive department was so condescending and rude and made me feel like I was an idiot infront of people. Wouldn’t stop going at me after I kept asking to pay so I could leave, very uncomfortable experience. Take your business elsewhere.
