They have a dedicated department for doors and windows. They have 3 staff that work there (I have their business cards). None of them work weekends, and none of their display items have prices. None of the staff outside that department could give me info on prices. How is that how you run retail in 2025?
Embarrassing. Guess I'll shop elsewhere.

I need a screen door and when I called the store to see about delivery, I was informed it would be $160. This is $100 more than the screen door cost. I usually really like this store, but this amount of price gouging is outrageous.

My experience with an employee yesterday was great . His name is Stew in appliances, but I was buying a lawnmower and power washer. I only give 5 stars to Stew and no one else there , because he was the only employee willing to go out of his way to help me. Even with his bad back , he brought the power washer out to me , did up my paperwork and made sure I was looked after to the bitter end. 5 stars to Stew , give him a bonus.

They had what other stores lacked in screen doors. We bought 3 they had in stock and asked for a sized they are bringing in for us. They followed up the next day to be certain we like what we have and to confirm the details on our order. Great staff. We are happy.

As owner builders we canvassed a number of door suppliers in and around Comox Valley and Campbell River. When we came upon Central Builders in Courtenay we hit the jackpot. The team in doors is knowledgeable and professional. They helped us towards achieving our vision and the interior/exterior door package is top notch in quality and pricing. They have gone above and beyond in customer service to boot. Can’t say enough good things! Highly recommended!
