    CIBC is the worst bank I have ever used. They are constantly making mistakes without any acknowledgement or anything, despite majorly screwing with you because they are involved in your finances. Things not being activated and you repeatedly contact them, they tell you youre wrong, then in the end, THEY ARE OF COURSE. But they dont look into themselves first. No way. The customer service is also completely awful. This isnt just this location. I switched to comox hoping it was better than “never keeps your appointment” Lerwick. But this isnt better. Also lowering peoples credit card limits without any notification or reason, after people move all their debt over to this card as it offers a low interest balance transfer, but then your at the limit cause they changed it. Id say do better but you wont because I have experienced it just getting worse. This is just my issue today, it’s constant with CIBC. THIS LOCATION DOESNT EVEN HAVE ANYONE WORKING THERE THAT MEETS WITH PEOPLE! Useless.

    I'm not really convinced that the new banking layout in the Comox Mall is better. Seems to be no tellers and always need an appt. Also, I tried to open a GIC online and it wouldn't let me and then got a lower interest rate when I had to go to the bank to open the GIC. I don't really like any banks really. Hard to believe all the fees on top of the interest rates, plus outrageous fees for cheques. . Get you coming and get you going. It is almost impossible to get any customer service without going to the branch. I can't get anyone online or on the phone. Much easier at other banks so maybe I'll have to switch banks? The chat is useless. I simple want the two factor authentication when I sign in and I am not getting it.

    Absolutely terrible service. They sound promising on the phone, get you in for an appointment in approximately a week, but when you do go in the teller does not know how to do his job nor how to use the computer, stalls with questions asked and needs to refer to manager for answers: let’s just say I’ve waited since December 2022 to get my RESP cheque for my daughter, it’s now February 20th 2023, still No cheque as of this post. I will never use CIBC bank, and I will certainly never refer anyone to this bank avoid Akshay Perumanagari and find a bank where communication and customer service is at least their bare minimum. Specifically Courtenay Mall branch only!

    Terrible service would be a compliment at this point . No one will pick up phone in the branch , good luck trying , have been in many times for a hacked credit card, on third hacked card now, was supposed to be delivered in 3 days , now a week late with no communication at all . So frustrating
