This compact airport, though small, is modern and well-kept. Bathrooms were clean, and staff were friendly and helpful.
It’s highly efficient, with everything housed in one building. Rental cars and public paid parking are just a short walk away.
One of the smoothest airports to fly in and out of.

Staff very friendly. Flight was cancelled and I felt they did their best to accomadate customers. "Taylor works at the west jet counter was extremely helpful and made a call to make flight less long" really appreciated her doing that , made my day alot better.5 stars to her. 😊

I honestly don’t understand how YQQ keeps bragging about “record passenger numbers” when the airport is clearly not built — or staffed — to handle even a small rush of people. Whoever is in charge of scheduling flights must think it’s funny to stack every departure within the same hour. Then they act shocked when the security line crawls at a snail’s pace.
The security area is laughably small. It literally fits maybe 10 people at a time, and the tables are so tiny that it’s basically one passenger at a time trying to unload their bags. How is this acceptable for an airport that claims to be growing?
And instead of fixing the actual problem — SECURITY STAFFING AND SPACE — they keep spending money on things nobody asked for. A tarmac extension nobody needed. Random TVs. Fancy crosswalk lights. Cosmetic “upgrades” that do nothing to help get passengers through security faster. The priorities seem completely backwards.
It genuinely feels like they don’t care about the passenger experience or security efficiency at all. For such a busy airport, the way they allocate funding makes zero sense. Stop bragging about growth and start investing where it actually matters.

Announcements were poor and inconsistent message. Plane was on tarmac for hours before flight, crew showed up late. Same pilot and copilot that showed up an hour late in Comox two weeks prior with the excuse that their shuttle was late picking them up from the hotel after an overnight stay. It appears that no matter whether you travel early in the morning mid afternoon or early evening, you can count on your airline being late. I’m kind of confused because there aren’t a lot of flights in one day to keep being consistently late for, not like we’ve been having freezing rain or snow removal on the runway.

Nice clean easy to navigate airport. Friendly staff. Limited food and gift shop items. Planes will not be attached to airport by passage way so keep in mind you will be walking outside to your plane. Keep in mind if it's an early flight that you maybe waiting outside airport for it to open as it does close unlike large airports. Large parking lot , gravel parking lot is cheaper for long term than paved parking lot.
