The happiest sad place in BC. The people here are among the best I have EVER met in my 30 odd years of life. My father was here with terminal brain cancer and they kept him so comfortable and so happy, gave him quiet when he wanted it and company when he needed it. The nurses know their patients and remember minor but important details about them to make their last days as comfortable and happy as they can possibly be.
Over the months my dad was here he and I got to know the nurses very well and we were always treated so well, my son always enjoyed saying hi to the nurses as he went from crawling to walking and talking, even though my father is passed I still look forward to seeing them in public and they remember us and great us every time.
I can’t thank them enough for keeping my father happy and safe over such a stressful and sad time and I especially want to thank Monique, Dawn, Ashley and Janine, there’s more names I can’t recall currently.

Our experience at The Aitkin Community Hospice was so beautiful. Everything from the care from the nurses to the counselors and volunteers who came to provide support, conversation and sometimes much needed moments like guitar playing and singing. As family, we were able to stay with our loved one and wow do they treat family well. Not only did they keep us well informed of the whole process we were walking but then feed us fabulous meals the whole time. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for this amazing place.
Kindly, Christine Bobye
