We stayed here for a month, and it was an absolute disaster. No laundry service, no room cleaning, and rude, unprofessional staff who clearly don’t care about guests. We had to beg for basics like clean towels and toilet paper. The room was in bad shape — dirty, outdated, and uncomfortable.
Wi-Fi barely worked, air conditioning was weak, and no one ever came to clean or even check in on us. This place doesn’t meet even the most basic hotel standards. Avoid at all costs. One star is too generous.

Staying at this hotel for a month was one of the worst decisions we’ve ever made. It was a total nightmare from beginning to end. If you’re even considering this place, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
First off, there was absolutely no laundry service — not even self-serve. For a long-term stay, that’s beyond frustrating. We had to go out multiple times a week just to wash our clothes. That’s not what anyone expects when they book a place for weeks on end.
Next, let’s talk about room service – or rather, the complete lack of it. For 30 days, no one came to clean the room, change the bedsheets, or even take out the trash. We had to beg for basic items like towels and toilet paper. And when we asked for cleaning, the staff just brushed us off or said “maybe later.” Later never came.
Speaking of the staff… incredibly unprofessional and unbelievably rude. Every interaction felt cold and unwelcoming. The front desk staff acted as though they were doing us a favor just by acknowledging us. No greetings, no willingness to help, just constant attitude and disrespect. It’s shocking that people like this work in hospitality.
The condition of the hotel itself was just as bad. The room was in poor shape – old furniture, cracked walls, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. The air conditioning barely worked, and the Wi-Fi was nearly useless. It felt more like staying in a rundown dormitory than a hotel.
Overall, this was a terrible experience that left us frustrated, stressed, and exhausted. We expected at least the basics, and this hotel couldn’t even provide that. One star is generous.
There are plenty of better options out there — don’t waste your money or time here. Trust the reviews and stay far away from this place.

I chose this motel for price and location but it has SO much more. Susan on the front desk arranged an early arrival that was brilliant. The room is spotlessly clean, no carpet and the WHITEST freshest bedding I have ever seen. There is fridge and microwave, an eating bar, shops a short walk away and the BEST coffee. We even took advantage of the laundry room and the Hen & Hog on site restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch with cocktails. It is pet friendly and has a lovely dog walk along the river with poop bags and garbage. Well done Comox Valley Inn & Suites😊

Our accommodation cancelled on us so we then had to find a two bedroom and this was one of the only ones we could find. Reading reviews and the low price compared to everything else left us a little concerned but we thought oh well, only for a couple of nights. Our expectations were low and we were so pleasantly surprised.
First impression was the lady in our office and she was so helpful, stressing that if anything was wrong let her know, giving us food suggestions and you honestly felt really welcomed.
The room, we had two bedrooms was spacious, the beds were super comfortable and most importantly, it was really clean. The room had a big fridge freezer, microwave and coffee machine.
If you were going to be critical and look for things, the paint on the wall is scruffed, the window paint in the bathroom needs redoing, and the toilet seems to be on a slight slant. The pool and hot tub also were not in service.
We stayed here because we needed somewhere but we would stay here by choice again, especially when you consider the price. We have no complaints!

Our stay was here was enjoyable! Room was quiet, clean and beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying and we'd come back for future stays.
