After hearing friends speak about "Mark, the Gold Guy", I decided I would collect some old gold chains and rings and take them in to him today. I was very impressed with his personality and the fact that he took the time to go through my junk. He is very pleasant, and at no time did I feel any lack of importance as a customer. Mark took the time to look at all of my broken necklaces and old rings. He separated the 10k gold from the 14k gold and weighed everything separately. He was at no point rushing things along, which I really liked. Mark and I then played a game. He asked me to write on a piece of paper what I thought my old jewelry was worth. I guessed $75.00 at most. To my complete shock, Mark showed me his number, which was more than 10 times my guess. In fact, what I thought was under $100, actually came to $1140.00 š¤Æ
I was so shocked. Mark does not rip you off, as a review mentioned. In fact he does the opposite. Don't listen to negative reviews, as Mark is awesome, super friendly and trustworthy. I will definitely pass along a good word about Mark, and I look forward to doing business with him again š¤

Whether you're popping in to get a fair price for a loan or buy $20 in silver Mark and his team will treat you like you're spending a million. Good folks fair prices, and extremely knowledgeable staff. I wouldn't head anywhere else in town.

Not sure why this place has so many positive reviews. People don't know what they have I'm guessing.
I brought in some scrap gold jewellery and he offered 40% less than the shops in Nanaimo and Vancouver were offering. Smooth talker, but not a good place to sell gold and silver.

This guy helped me with a valuation on some heirlooms took a free off my hands at decent prices and directed me to where I might find interested folk for the rest, solid shop. Really knowledgeable about their antiquities and collectables, and if they don't have it mark can find it.

Hi had Mark referred to me in regards to some old jewelery i wished to sell . i couldnāt have been more pleased with Mark himself , he was pleasant confirmed first and foremost if there was any sentimental value to any of these pieces was i sure i wanted to part with them . there was no pressure at all , i had done some research before hand and he far exceeded my expectations , in a heartbeat I would send anyone who was looking to sell gold etc to visit Mark .
