I was into the store today and went to purchase a small ornament and a fridge magnet and went to pay with my visa and the lady behind the counter told me that it would be almost a dollar to do that for something that didn’t cost very much and I said usually the vendor pays the visa charges and she replied they’re expensive you know… I spent the whole week in Comox, and this was the only store That identified that I would have to pay the visa charges. I paid with my interact in principal as I would not give this vendor any Extra money and the next time I go to Comox, I will not wait till I get to the airport to get a souvenir Ever go back to a shop like that that has decided to charge the customer When the store itself identifies visa as an option to pay… When she replied that it was Expensive eyemark so isn’t your merchandise?

At the airport the Compass gift store prices their sweaters based on sizing, which is an inappropriate and embarrassing practice.
My elderly mother who is plus size could not understand why when buying a gift her sweater would be more expensive than another one size down. We asked to price match and were told no.
This embarrassed her, and made her walk away from purchasing all together, she would happily have supported you otherwise - and sent me off on my trip in a very sad and disheartened mood.
Running a small business is hard, but I don’t know any others that do this. As a local, I suggest you reconsider this practice or make it a universal pricing structure and make XXS half the cost of the other sweaters.

Such a great place with a great unique vibe. Compass magazine is always around our house and work. Great reading material this is it's home. Kiki works hard to help the surrounding community and is always a gem to chat with!

So many beautiful artistic finds. One of my most favorite places to visit. You need to take at least three tours around the shop to see everything.
