My wife and I were delighted by the service provided by Courtenay Plumbing. We had our poly-B piping replaced (inside and out). It's a big job, but the employees were very flexible and did an excellent, thorough job while keeping within the competitive estimate. Thanks so much Courtenay Plumbing. You'll be hearing from us regarding any future plumbing needs.

TLDR: Don't use these guys. They'll destroy your yard, refuse to fix it and Dominic doesn't answer his phone.
They replaced the poly B pipe in my house. Inside seems OK so far and was done quickly. Then they pushed back finishing the job twice (replacing the connection to the street) with lame excuses. Do you honestly think that we believed that a professional plumber would not know to call BC One to find out if it was safe to dig?
When they finally got around to finishing the job, they refused to bed the pipe in sand, saying that the dirt in our yard was sandy enough. They then asked for a rake because they didn't bring one. They cut two irrigation lines, didn't backfill the trench enough (so it looked more like a ditch in spots), didn't rake dirt into the gaps in the sod (because, no rake, professional huh) and tossed the excess dirt into my nice garden beds on top of my groundcover plants. This wasn't even decent dirt, it was sandy with large clay chunks and rocks.
When I complained, Dominic said he would come take a look the next day at 9am. He didn't show until after 10 and I had come home to meet him to show him what I was upset about. He wouldn't answer his phone to let me know what was going on either.
When I looked at what they had done to resolve the issues, the only thing they had done was repair the irrigation lines.
I get that where they had to dig would have some damage, but destroying my gardens (nowhere near the trench) was unnecessary and ignorant. Refusing to have his employees fix the damage they cause, completely unprofessional.

I hired him for a couple of jobs on Quadra and he did both wonderfully and professionally. I will be hiring him again and will most likely move my rating up to a 5 star review. thanks Dom
