This Clinic used to be great... What is happening in there? Similar to a couple of other experiences I read, something has changed in the last year. It started with them auto booking appointments for cleaning, X rays and etc that I did not book myself, and when I denied the treatments I was given a condescending talk about having wasted their time. Now every time I walk into the office I have a building anxiety of what rude treatment I am going to receive next. The hygienists and dentist are mostly very kind and their work is solid to my experience, but something is going on with the administrative staff. Their behaviour towards myself is unkind and rude, feels like I accidentally walked into an ICBC service centre. I am a bit sad to be leaving this clinic, but mostly just relieved that I never have to walk in there again.

I have never had such a thorough and comfortable dental cleaning before EVER. My hygienist was friendly, competent, and explained to me what she was doing and why throughout the whole process. I have never felt so relaxed and trusted the process so much. What a fabulous experience! Thank you!

I had two rotten teeth that I put off until one developed an abscess. The team at Cumberland dental got me in quickly to drain the abscess and a week later I was in for getting the teeth extracted. Dr. Neel preformed the difficult extractions very well and made sure to book me in for a checkup. Very pleased with the service.

Went in on ln Thursday for a very obvious solution to a dental problem. Broken tooth required extraction. Was very specific on the phone that I wasnt booking an appointment for a check up.
1.5 hours later they have done nothing to solve the issue, except for re book well over a month away to do exactly the thing originally booked for plus extras.
Now its 230 am on the Sunday following. Im off to the hospital with my jaw swollen like a balloon from infection on the tooth that should have been removed during the appointment I asked them to remove it at.
Update... after this they reached out and made appointment right away.
They handled rectifying the situation professionally and I appreciate it.
My apologies for the negativity, under the circumstances I was mad.

It... pains me to write this review.
I'm not sure what it is, but in the past year the level of care at Cumberland Dental has gone down significantly. I and my family have gone there for years, but the past 12 months has seen a cavalcade of basic dental errors that have caused large amounts of physical pain and emotional discomfort for not just myself, but my family members.
If this was one incident, it could be put down to, "hey, sometimes things go bad", but this is a pattern of things like providing antibiotics when pain relief is required, providing pain relief when antibiotics are required, insufficient anaesthesia during major procedures, surprise billing amounts, and general rudeness along with a push to maximize the number of procedures on a given patient.
To be fair, every dentist does that last, but on top of everything else it's damning. Goodbye, Cumberland Dental. While we will miss you we don't dare come within miles of you.
