We stayed in suite E. So spacious, equipped with everything needed and very clean. We are mountain bikers and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. They have a shed to store the bikes, a wash station and more. We will spread the word for this guesthouse in Switzerland where we are from. As we bikers say “look at the speed” and one last word about the trails. They are a lot of fun to ride, even the up hill flow trails.

We stayed for four nights over the Labour Day long weekend in suite C (Trailhead Suite) and though we rolled in late and in the dark, the guesthouse was easy to find & park, access our suite and secure our bikes for the night. Our suite was nicer than the photos and now I see why - they made some changes to the suite that the photos don't reflect (ie. added a table/bar, one less couch, bed configuration). The air conditioning works and is awesome - the weather was warm while we were there. The suite really had everything you could have needed and more, from nice bath products to a white noise machine and everything you need to cook a meal. Not that we did, as there are so many great restaurants, cafes and bakery steps from the guesthouse. Other than driving to nearby golf courses and to check out Courtenay and Comox, if you're staying around Cumberland you can leave the car as everything is so close including the trails. The guesthouse would be an amazing place to rent out with a bunch of friends/family, which is what the other four units did and had lots of room to spread out for kids to play and share meals. This place is VERY family friendly, I'd say if you're looking for a couple's retreat that the whole town of Cumberland is very family focused and you will probably encounter many families. The communal outdoor space had lots of spots for sitting/eating and also a propane fire pit and BBQ. The bike storage was large and secure, with SteadyRacks, though you are relying on the other units to be diligent in locking the container. One thing with this unit is that the shower is really small so if you're large or have trouble with mobility it might be tricky. Overall it was a lovely location and neighbourhood and super convenient all around - we will be back!

Friendly and helpful hosts! Great location, clean and new rooms, nice outside area. Overall excellent stay. Only thing was a tiny bit loud between floors but not a problem, could just hear footsteps above.

The Trailhead Studio was really well outfitted, clean, and comfortable, and the guesthouse is just a one minute walk from the main street in Cumberland. The host promptly answered all my questions about activities in town, good vegetarian restaurants, and the Netflix setup. Very highly recommend!

We stayed at Suite A and had a wonderful time! The place is clean, lovely, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed plus more. We were able to make full meals and enjoyed sitting outside in the private yard. We would love to stay here again and would highly recommend it to everyone visiting Cumberland!
