My group was very disappointed with our visit.
We came on a Saturday, and it was busy because they had a jam and it was nice out. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our order was taken promptly. We then proceeded to wait at least 30-40 minutes with no check in from our server and also watched someone beside us get seated, order and get their food before us.
When we got served our food my oyster burger was cold and my friend couldn't finish her seafood chowder. We both said we hope we don't get food poisoning (we didn't thankfully, but that was the quality level of the seafood).
It took another long while for us to get our bill and to pay, we put our jackets on and started to leave and still has to wait 10 minutes standing there with our coats on while while our server ignored us and served and chatted with other people. I guess she wasn't interested in serving people from our of town? Or just really unorganized. Not sure.
We have been to this restaurant in the past several times and really enjoyed it, but it has definitely gone downhill. Do not recommend it now, especially if you're not local.

The seafood here from my understanding comes from the Fanny bay seafood market not too far from the inn. The oysters were very delicious and fresh. We also got the lobster sliders, seafood linguine, and the seafood chowder. My favourite were the seafood sliders and the mignonette oysters. Unfortunately the chowder lacked flavor (was not salty at all) but seemed to have a good amount of seafood inside hence the 4 stars instead of 5 for the food. The service was amazing and lots of people seemed to be sitting out at the patio enjoying drinks. The patio was dog friendly but unfortunately didn’t have any views of the bay since the patio was fenced. Nonetheless, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend coming here if you want to enjoy some drinks or fresh oysters!

I've been to the FBI multiple times over many years and we stopped here on the way back up island this Saturday, Valentine's Day by chance. They were absolutely rammed. Great atmosphere.
It has really been hit and miss over the last ten years or so, but the chef and owners now are really nailing it with the food and the direction, in my opinion.
We had the calamari - great, chilli cheese fries - delicious, lobster roll sliders - stellar and mussels and clams in a chorizo tomato broth - awesome.
Fantastic food. Everyone was very friendly and they had a great vibe. I only gave the service three stars, however, because we waited a really long time to be acknowledged after being seated. I get that they were swamped and it was busy but our server, although lovely, wasn't very on it as far as attentiveness. We would have had a couple more drinks had she been around.
Absolutely will not stop us going back! Can't wait to sit on that patio for the afternoon with drinks and food!

Well tended restaurant/bar and grounds. They have great gluten-free options, including GF beer from Whistler! Dogs allowed on huge back patio and great grassy areas with picnic- style tables. Oysters of course too, several different ways. Very much enjoy this place! Best option, must stop location.

We go there for lunch on a rainy day. It's quite busy on weekday.
Good food and best service. We order the oyster and mussel and two soups. I like my soup since it is the feeling of home.
We enjoy the place since we find the last table closed to the window.
If it's sunny day, I think everyone prefer sitting in the garden. I see many people order the pizza and it looks good. Maybe, I will try the pizza next time.
