I’ve been shopping at Fibres since Claire took it over. I have always found the quality of clothing fantastic. Many are Canadian or North American sourced. Natural fabrics and wonderful styles that are unique. Claire has a great eye and usually suggests the perfect things for me. I’ve found her so personable and lovely each and every visit. I get lots of compliments on my clothes and people are always intrigued they are from Fibres Boutique on Hornby Island!

I am a nightmare of a customer: hard to please and harder to dress....and then Claire happened. Oh, and I'm driven by ethics but cheap. Wait, maybe not cheap but certainly cost conscious.....but Claire again. So where to begin.
Fibres has a muted subtle welcoming vibe. Presentation of items is ordered, uncomplicated and varied. Pieces are thoughtfully selected and, as if by some twitch of Claire's nose, or tap of a wand, are ageless and hold appeal for any that venture into her welcoming and diverse trove of fashion. I am 59, 6ft tall and, um, 200ishlbs. I purchased a dress and jacket that I have worn and received numerous compliments. A pair of loose cropped pants (the fabric made in Quebec and the pants designed and produced in Montréal) that ooze a casual elegance are now the highlight of my 2022 and beyond summer wardrobe. Yesterday, I was actually stopped by a stranger on a Toronto street and asked 'where did you get those fabulous pants?!' You absolutely must ask after her line of Unbelts carried in the shoppette!!
Without exception Claire is committed to ethically sourced materials by likeminded designers for likeminded customers. Claire has created a retail destination on an, at times, forbidding isolated rock in the Salish Sea, wherein dwell no more than 900 souls and yet people make the trek. Why? For the quality, the solid and pure commitment to ethically sourced fashion and accessories, and truthfully, .....because Claire; her energy, her sparkle, and her professional eye for quality. I have taken the time to pen this tome as I depend heavily on reviews and comments when online buying. The retail experience has evolved so much over the last decade...then Covid, so I wanted to extol both the excellence of experience with Fibres and....because Claire. Lovely store, lots of natural clothing, soft cotton bralets, and great customer service. Thanks to another reviewer, I bought myself an Unbelt, which had a better price here than on the internet. 😊

Great selection, great clothes, great store!
Terrible service. Very deceiving advertising for local fibres. upon asking the clerk if the clothing was locally sourced, I got a very rude and condescending answer, which in the end was false.
