A great guy who I look forward to building our working relationship with. Solar is not something my company does so Island Valley is my go to recommendation when a client is interested.

I couldn't ask for a better electrician!
I recently purchased a home built in 1928, which has had some electrical upgrades throughout the years, but was definitely not up to snuff. I contacted Joey with a long list of changes needing to be made, and he provided a comprehensive quote in no time at all.
Work included a new electrical panel with a much bigger capacity, instillation of an outdoor security light and external outlets, new light fixtures and switches, moving and decommissioning old ones, floorboard heater replacement, and a hood vent microwave instillation.
Joey walked me through the process of the panel replacement and what to expect when coordinating with BC hydro; he made it clear and easy to understand. He also made great recommendations and suggestions to help keep costs low, keeping my budget as a first time homebuyer in mind!
He was quick in getting these changes made, and went above and beyond; when he noticed circuits in the kitchen and laundry were overloaded by the previous owners, he took initiative to run new ones. He also kept my property goals in mind by future-proofing my panel to accommodate running electrical to my accessory building, reducing the need for added work and effort required in the future. Even with the added circuits, he came under budget!
Joey doesn't settle for "good enough" and is proactive and forward thinking. He's considerate, thoughtful, and collaborative, which I really appreciated; he pulled me in throughout the course of the project at all the right times to check in on my preferences/thoughts before proceeding with making a change.
After the work was completed, unfortunately my new heater failed just as we were getting into a cold snap; Joey came over that same day to swap it out free of charge.
Joey is pleasant to work with, has a great sense of humor, is efficient and thorough. I honestly can't say enough good things about this guy and the work he does!!
