Jackknife is one of the best food spots in Black Creek. The sourdough crust is the thing that keeps us coming back — both the deep dish and the pan style. The dough is made with Italian flour and fermented properly, has real flavour, and it feels good in the body. No heaviness, no junky after-effects.
I appreciate how many of the topping ingredients come from local growers and makers. It matters, especially out here, where keeping a business going at this level isn’t simple.
A couple of things I’d love to see as a regular: a digital ordering system online. And I’m into the idea of more pick-up options beyond pizza, like the sandwiches, plus some healthier-forward items across the menu!
Bottom line: Jackknife is the quality pizza option in the creek and they’re doing something rare. I’m grateful they’re here.
Thanks Alain!
Keep rocking

A flavourful thin crust pizza made with sourdough. We've had Jackknife several times since they have opened, and our most recent order of the Mediterranean was absolutely delicious.
It is a little on the pricey side, but I always consider homemade fermented dough, sauces, and ingredients. Since it's a bit of a drive from home, we typically order when we're already going past it, and eat it fresh and hot in the car pulled over on the side of the road or at the beach :)

38$ with gratuity. Pizza was small for the price. Boonies is about a 1/3 bigger for the same price. Ingredients were sloppy with the honey and garlic overwhelming the pizza. Small amt of pepperoni. Smattering of cheese. Dough was flat, chewy and undercooked. I’ve had a similar experience with their pizza recently but I was hoping that was a one (or two) off.

We were a little sceptical when we pulled up to the food van but thought what the hell, let's give this place a try. We are very glad we did.
We got two pizzas, a Margarita and an Al Fungi and they are OMG fantastic, both in presentation and taste.
The guy cooking was a character and clearly knows how to cook a magnificent pizza. He even managed to up sell us some chocolate mouse, which is also too die for.
In short, highly recommended.
