Had a great experience with Liberty tax, I had an issue with my last 2 years taxes and GST not being processed by CRA and also child tax. The gentleman helped me to understand how it works and submitted all the required docs to CRA at the same time.
Highly recommended this place everyone who wants to do their taxes….

Very disappointing experience at Liberty Tax. I was the first person to file last year and booked an appointment to sit down and review my return. Instead, he was in a rush for personal chores, took $100 immediately, didn’t sit with me, didn’t explain anything, and told me to just email my T4 and leave — he was already at the door.
He never asked for my bank details even though I requested direct deposit. Days later, I had to email him about it, and he casually asked me to send my account number. I ended up with the worst return, no GST payments for the entire year. When I questioned it, he told me to contact CRA.
He took the money but gave no proper service or satisfaction. I’m now filing with someone else to fix last year’s mess.
Definitely don’t go here.

I suspect that this office was much better in the past than it was last year when we went to them to file two years of our joint taxes. Even though we told them, several times, that we were filing jointly, they put ALL of the capital gains for the sale of a jointly owned property on only one of our tax filings. This resulted in a much larger tax bill for one of us than it would have been had they filed us jointly. When WE caught this mistake, promises of resolving it quickly were made. Those promises were never lived up to. Eventually they just stopped responding to my emails and phone calls. As a result, we lost a reverse mortgage that we had applied for and had to pay for a new appraisal of our house when another company finally sorted it out for us. We were also advised by the CRA, that Liberty Tax did not include my partner's foreign pension in the filings they made either, so we had to waste even more of our time sorting that out. (And we overpaid by thousands of dollars, thanks to their miscalculations). To say it was a stressful, disappointing and expensive experience is putting it mildly. When I contacted their office recently and spoke to their new branch manager, Charlie, requesting a refund, he told me that he was not the decision maker. I asked him to forward my review to whoever IS the decision maker and after receiving no response to that request for a month and a half, well above is my review. They can't say we didn't give them many changes to rectify their mistakes!
