Thank you to Locals for hosting our wedding reception dinner! The service at dinner was truly incredible. Heidi made everything that night so special and all of our guests complimented how good the service was that night. The food was incredible! Delicious food and great atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this!

Our dinner here was nice, in a pretty Tudor-esque setting. But the overall experience was good but not great - nowhere near the 'fine dining' experience they put forth. Service was just okay, and the food presentation and flavours were more homemade than chef.

Attended as a group of 4.
One meal (the duo of beef) was superb, and the dessert was great too. The restaurant source the produce as locally as possible which is brilliant.
From there it goes downhill. One meal (the pork belly) was particularly disappointing; overcooked and the smallest slice of meat. The dish was passed around the table and no one liked enough to have more. Paying over $40 we expected much more.
The service was okay - we were well attended, though the server's attitude was interesting, wanting to be your new friend though an undertone of attitude.
Paying approximately $80 per person (+tax) for one main, one drink and a shared dessert, we left underwhelmed, feeling it was overpriced.
Though we are locals, we won't be going back.

Such a pretty place! The outside area is so cute. Service was lovely, food was delicious and the dessert was PHENOMENAL. I had the Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Delice….i don’t think I got the name quite right, but it is now in my top 3 of all time favourite desserts. I would like to eat it all day everyday. That’s how good it was. 100000/10 recommend

I used to really enjoy dining at Locals, which is why this review is so disappointing to write — but the quality of the food has dropped dramatically, and the prices no longer reflect what is being served.
The scallop dish in particular was a shock. What used to be fresh, large bay scallops is now clearly previously frozen scallops that were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. Instead of being the star of a thoughtfully composed plate, they were basically sad little “morsels” sitting on a clunky slab of pork belly. Just visually unappetizing and honestly a turn-off.
The dish was paired with puy lentils and green beans, but the flavour profile was bland and uninspired — a far cry from what this plate used to be. It felt like a cheap imitation of something that once had care and intention behind it.
I also tried the duo of meat, and it was genuinely reminiscent of a meal served in my granny’s nursing home. That’s not exaggeration — it had that dull, overcooked, institutional feel, with nothing elevated or memorable about it.
This was, without question, one of the worst meals I’ve eaten in a long time. There was nothing redeeming about it. They even messed up the ceasar salad. It’s frustrating because Locals used to be somewhere I’d recommend without hesitation, but at this point I can’t justify returning or encouraging anyone else to spend their money here unless the kitchen makes serious changes.
