We began our evening by sharing the steamed local clams and mussels appetizer, served with focaccia perfect for dipping into the fennel halibut broth. The broth was light, aromatic, and full of delicate flavor—a wonderful start to the meal.
For my main course, I enjoyed the pan-roasted stuffed chicken breast, which was tender and cooked to perfection, while my partner enjoyed the pan seared duck breast. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes were creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious.
To finish, we shared the pecan butter tart pie paired with house-made maple ice cream. This dessert was an indulgent treat—sweet, nutty, and beautifully complemented by the smooth maple ice cream.
Every dish was exceptional, and the atmosphere added to the experience: cozy and pleasant, with warm lighting and a low noise level that made conversation easy.
The servers were attentive and catered to our requests with genuine enthusiasm, making us feel truly welcomed.
I would highly recommend this establishment for an outstanding evening of great food and inviting ambiance.

Lucky that we were able to get same day reservation! Their steam clams appetizer was mouthwatering! Almost ordered some more bread to finish up the delicious sauce! Our mains were ribs and salmon, both were awesome! We finished with a lemon meringue pie and crème brûlée. Best dessert ever! Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely come again if we visit Comox in the future!

Nice dinner, atmosphere. Portions were kind of small. Had the lamb dinner. Tasted good but there was probably like 4 oz of meat on the bone. Ya it was a big bone. Kind of sad that you leave hungry.

We had a really enjoyable dinner at Martine’s Bistro. The standout for me was the clam special—the broth was creamy, rich, and full of flavour without being too heavy. The clams were fresh and perfectly cooked, tender and not at all rubbery. It honestly reminded me of the kind of dish you’d find in a small coastal town in Europe. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the homemade ice cream for dessert was the perfect finish—smooth, rich, and clearly made in-house. Looking forward to coming back.

We hosted a private dinner for 45 employees at Martine’s Bistro, and the entire experience was exceptional. From the warm hospitality to the beautifully prepared dishes, everything was seamless and truly memorable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly, and every guest left impressed.
