This is a beautiful facility and very special. It's used for so many events in the Comox Valley. There is a kitchen, bar, 2 floors for different sizes and event needs and the bathrooms are adequate. I have two comments though: often smokers are staying near the building doors and the smoke blows in. In the predominantly SE rain patterns it happens very often here. There should be a better area accessible from upstairs or downstairs for the smoking. Also the name and the photos in the downstairs hall are all white men whose contributions are noted while the counterparts of Indigenous community, not to mention wives and women are notably absent. This is unnecessarily tone deaf and should be corrected to acknowledge actual history and strengthen our community.

One of the largest log buildings in the country, it's worth experiencing the building just for that.I don't know who the native sons were or whether we should respect that name or not

The Saturday Market here during the winter months is great. Many vendors and nice variety of goods to choose from. Most are inside with a fee more outside.
