Long line up 45 minutes to an hour to see a teller.
Only two people working in the front when there’s line ups of 20 people.
Hire more people. This is the only RBC in town, do better.
Or I’m taking my business elsewhere

I am not writing about the Courtenay Branch in particular, but RBC as a whole. I called the 1-800 number to get information, after several attempts to get a machine to understand what I wanted, it told me I had to go into the branch in person. I called the local Courtenay number to get more information before driving into town, and got the same machine.
I am so fed up with every business that does not have a local contact number. The ones that do are few and far between these days.

This location, much like the Campbell River one is filled with uneducated staff that are not interested in working. Wait times inside the bank are awful and communication between "advisors" takes months to get through, with no concern of customers time. The bank as a whole seems to be flakey for lack of a better term, where either the employees do not have enough education, are forced to do too much, or both...all with an "i don't care" attitude.

Just stopped in for a bank draft - I got there at 8:45 and was first in line. It did line up significantly behind me but it seems like it was moving at a good pace when they opened. The teller (I didn’t catch her name) was very polite, helpful and genuine. She made sure everything was correct. Similar experience to stopping in at a branch on the mainland and not many seniors as others have reported. Perhaps getting here when they open is the difference, but overall a normal in-person banking experience.

Not enough teller to help or having the knowledge to help. Line-up too long creating long wait for something I couldn't do online. Please hire more people.
