Watch your receipt this Shoppers has no problem charging full price when items are on Sale! Absolutely terrible service at this Shoppers to top it off. I tried buying an item that was on sale. I tried self check out but the item wasn’t registering the sale price. The cashier looked into it and said she doesn’t think the sale has started. I pointed out that they have the sale price on their shelves. I asked them to honour the price they have on their own shelves and they called on a poor excuse of an employee who barely acknowledged my questions and chose to go into the corner and look at the cash register screen while I was trying to talk to him. Brad was dismissive of the situation and told me to stand and wait for the sale to start. He mentioned it should be only be a few minutes, but I overheard him say to another employee it might not be until 10pm. Brad admitted the item was on sale according to their price tag but refused to match the price that they had listed. Instead he suggested I wait, which could have been just shy of 4 hrs. I left the items and I won’t shop here again! An honest and reputable company would honour the prices that they have listed in their own store!

I went in three days ago to check on some medication that had been faxed at 4pm that day.
5 hours later, they hadn't even processed the script. "fax machine problem today" they said (this happens very often, which is what I was initially trying to explain in vain)
That's interesting, since as soon as I asked someone to check the fax machine, there it was, sitting there untouched.
So either the fax machine literally JUST spit it out, 5 hours later, or they didn't check. Guess which it was.
But when they tell you you can't get your medication that night that was faxed in at 4pm, they'll insist there was NOTHING they could have done, even when it's blatantly obvious that's not true.
Because of this, I had to go a day without one of my anti-depressants, since they refused to fill it even with an hour left. They told me to come back next morning and it would be ready. I came back the next day at 2pm, it was not ready.
Their incompetence directly lead to my suffering, which is why I went in two days later to talk to Gunjar and mention it.
I just need to mention though, that talking to this new Pharmacist, Mei Lei I think her name is?? decided that instead of just admitting she and the other staff could have checked the fax machine earlier, she decided to gaslight and said there was NOTHING she could have done. which does not add up if you spend two seconds thinking about it.
My throat was completely hoarse, so I was sitting there rasping away saying "please let me finish, please let me finish what I was saying...." while she raised her voice and talked over top of me.
So I want you to keep this in mind when two days later, as I'm talking to Gunjar, some woman who wasn't even there decides to eavesdrop on what was supposed to be a quiet conversation, I asked to speak with him PRIVATELY.
So instead of getting to talk, which probably would have taken no time at all, this obese woman named Coleen who was eavesdropping, decides to butt in after 2 minutes, and go "ACKSHUALLY, I HEARD YOU WERE QUITE ABUSIVE!!!" I politely asked her if she considers calmy and quietly asking to be able to finish a sentence and not be interrupted is abusive, because.... if that's what we're calling abusive these days, the word has no meaning whatsoever.
However, this was clearly the wrong response, as about 3 more woman came over and decided to gang up on me, because apparently me trying to have a PRIVATE CONVERSATION to bring up what was, at that time, a LEGIT COMPLAINT, they decided to all start shouting at me, raising their voices, and escalating the situation from 0-100 in about 30 seconds.
Also, when I informed Colleen that she was misinformed, and that whatever version of events she had heard surely must have been exaugurated, because again, if what I did is abusive, the word has no meaning at all. She simply said "I believe her over you", so.... great. This random woman who I don't even know is telling me she doesn't believe me over the word of her TWO DAY OLD CO-WORKER WHO JUST STARTED. I asked them to check the tapes, which of course they refused.
So be warned, if you are having a "private" consultation, people WILL eavesdrop on you.
After they had escalated things to the point that I was raising my own voice, a woman with tattoos on her arm decided to get within 2 inches of my face. With her unmasked gross breath centimeters away from my face, she starts screaming at the top of her lungs "YOU HAVE TO LEAVE" any time I try to say a single word. It's pretty telling how much effort they were making to silence me, I guess I was making them look bad to the onlookers...
Since this could have genuinely given me COVID, which is assault, I called the police.
The police are currently investigating her, charges pending.
So.. One lovely Indian man named Gunjar, and a bunch of truly miserable woman who hate life, themselves, and most certainly you. They will view you scornful disdain, as an inconvenience to their day, and they'll make sure you know they feel that way too.

This was the worst Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy experience ever. I would have given zero stars, if given the option. Just moved to the area, dropped off my prescriptions for the first time around dinner time one evening. They said they would be ready that night. They were not. Went back the next day at 4 PM, prescriptions were still not ready. They said they were so busy with other prescriptions, that somehow ours got overlooked. When they finally filled the prescriptions, they did not enter our insurance correctly. And blamed “my plan “for the error. We use the largest insurance provider in Canada. I have never had a problem at any other pharmacy. The actual issue was the pharmacist not entering the Codes properly. I had to wait several more minutes for her to do that, while she continually blamed “my plan. “ I would have expected that they would sort out the error prior to my return, as this would have been good customer service. I have had nothing but five out of five service from every other Shoppers Drug Mart I have been to. Extremely disappointed that my new neighborhood Shoppers Drug Mart is so poorly run. This pharmacy is way too busy, they don’t care about the customer experience. Needless to say, I will not be filling another prescription here.

I showed up here during their business hours at 9:45PM to simply grab some wax strips for my wedding tomorrow. They had already locked the doors, refusing to let customers in to the store even though they still had almost a half an hour left in their business hours. Doors should be closed way closer to actual end of business hours, not early so the employees can slack off and make sure they get home early. Horrible customer service. Now I won't be able to wax my eyebrows for my wedding because they aren't open when they say they are.

I would like to provide constructive feedback regarding our experience at the Courtenay Shoppers Drug Mart. After being loyal customers for over 30 years, we have recently made the difficult decision to transfer our prescriptions to another provider.
While several of your staff members have consistently demonstrated excellence in their service, we've noticed a decline in overall customer care quality since the Loblaw's acquisition and new pharmacy ownership. The new pharmacy we've chosen has already demonstrated the level of attentiveness and understanding that initially drew us to Shopper's many years ago.
To help restore the high standard of service your pharmacy was known for, I would like to suggest:
- Enhanced customer service training focusing on empathy and problem resolution
- Implementation of a more collaborative approach to addressing customer concerns
- Recognition and expansion of the positive practices demonstrated by your exceptional staff members
We valued our long-standing relationship with Shopper's and believe these improvements could significantly benefit both current and future customers.
