I am extremely happy with the service. My son needed last minute gasses to go abroad and the kind gentleman did an amazing job for 24hours. Very attentive, accurate and polite. Great experience. Strongly recommend this place.

My partner and I came in and felt so comfortable working with John to find a new set or two of glasses for her. John's welcoming demeanor, humor, non judgmental attitude and aesthetic honesty was so much appreciated. Highly recommended, and great affordability. We will graciously be back.

I can't believe this place only has 4.6 stars, I guess you can't make everyone happy. Smarteyes is the only place I will go for as long as I live in Comox Valley. They have a great selection, welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable people who will put you at ease and make sure you look great.
John was above and beyond helpful, it was a pleasure to spend some time with him while we shopped. I usually have a hard time feeling at ease when I have to interface with staff members, and I felt right at home.
I have only said this a handful of times in the last ten years, but it was absolutely amazing to just be treated like a normal person. I used to love interacting with random people while shopping and going about my day, and have become quite guarded over the years. It felt good to be lulled into a sense of belonging, and to laugh and banter.

After cataract surgery on my right eye, I couldn't pop the right lens out of my glasses--they're wireless, without a bridge. I tried several solutions before I called John, who said he might be able to help--and did he!! He popped out the right lens and made a clear glass lens to replace it. He did this within a couple of hours. Fabulous service!
