Came here for my birthday dinner this week and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the enchiladas verdes and they were outstanding, very authentic Mexican dishes. I came here after friends raved to me about how great their experience was and I’m so glad it was mentioned. It’s a spot I’ll be visiting again. My table of 5 all loved their meals and everything came out in good time and was hot and flavourful. Great service, I received churros on the house after a server overheard it was my birthday, which was also amazing. Great time and memory made.

From their early beginnings as a Food Truck Taco Bandido has become a restaurant on 5th street in Courtenay. It is a great experience and they offer a busy takeout service.

Fantastic Service and food!! Well worth visiting and good quality ingredients!
The Chimichanga was one of the best Ive ever had! Light and crispy oj the outside pack full of flavourful meat and rice on the inside. I had the chicken, a family member had the beef, both great!...They are huge portions and we got two meals from them! Loved that we could do half green sauce, half red sauce on them to try each..thank you. :)
Great depth of flavours to both sauces, the reds a bit spicier but good amount of heat... just right!
We all left very full and happy and will be sure to come back next visit in town!

Hands down the best toco's I've had on the island. The atmosphere is spot on for a authentic Mexican experience!!
Staff is quick and attentive, some tables can seat a party of 12.
If you're heading to Courtney for any reason, this should ve your next stop.

I tried their Birria for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a classic margarita — another first for me — and it was excellent. The lady who served me (I wish I remembered her name!) was outstanding and recommended the margarita, which I’m glad I tried. The restaurant has a great ambiance that really makes you feel like you’re in Mexico. Highly recommend!
