Have been going to this tea store for years for teas and teapots. Recently bought a decaf Assam tea that had a strong fishy taste to it. Brought it back to the store to inform them of the issue- perhaps a bad batch- it was handled very poorly. One of the workers, who was male (unsure if this was the owner or not) brewed the tea to taste it themselves. I was basically told “too bad” and that it was a preference issue- that it was normal for my black tea to taste like fish. The man who I spoke with made me feel like I was dumb for even bringing up my concerns. I walked out of the store feeling quite let down. I have been going to this tea store for 6 or more years now and I feel this could have been handled differently. The ladies in the store have always been so great. I hope going forward- the customer service response for an issue like this will be handled differently.

The owners of the tea centre; Suzanne and Marnie are some of the kindest people I've ever met. They have an amazing selection of tea (I'm boring but orange pekoe is THE BEST) and their bubble tea is my favorite in the valley! I recommend the sweet mango with non- dairy creamer and coconut jelly, just keep in mind if you're more of a tapioca pearl lover then they're only available on Saturdays!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in tea, they helped me select a unique collection of teas for me to try, and seemed happy to take their time in helping me even though I arrived close to their closing time. Absolutely would return, their one of a kind selections are so cool, I'm excited to add Tea Centre to my 'must visit' list the next time I'm in town.

Came across this store while wandering 5th Street in Courtenay. We went in just to have a look and ended up buying several teas. The store was well laid out and staff were knowledgeable and helpful. An excellent location. If you're a tea drinker, it's definitely worth a visit.

Your one stop shop for all your tea needs. Not only do they have the best quality teas, they also have delicious flavoured mixes that only use natural flavours. In my opinion this is the best tea shop in BC! (I once heard it recommended as the best tea shop ever in the airport in Vancouver.)
