Small but full of history, covering different parts of military history. Naturally a lot of it involves Canada but not all; the ANZAC exhibit was a case in point - an excellent, touching and eye-opening special exhibit. There are regular time-limited exhibits, all very well-done. Volunteer-run and very worth checking out.

This is an awesome museum. I am glad we have a place we can go in the valley to learn about and remember the soldiers who fought for us in the wars. There's a lot you can explore in this small space. Unfortunately, I stopped in a little too late in the day, I would recommend a minimum of 1 hour to have enough time to experience this. Definitely worth stopping in, I will be back.

I was in Comox for a few days and wanted to check out some of the local museums. I happened upon The Alberni Project as one of the top 10 places to visit in the Comox area. Spent a little over an hour in the main exhibit and another half hour in the Innocent Eyes exhibit. Although the underlying drive of this museum was surrounding the HMCS Alberni history and its sinking during WWII, the exhibits cover much more than that. You get to see perspectives from other parts of society of how the war affected them. The other exhibit, Innocent Eyes, was very moving as it centres around the effect war has on children. Very powerful messages that remind us what is important. Many thanks to Lewis and others who have spent so much time and energy in starting and keeping this project going. Without museums like these, many aspects of history will slowly fade away.

Absolutely wonderful, Lewis is such a great man with a passion and a dream, he followed his dream and made a story of Canada and the axis during the war, the Museum is so full of heart, I had a wonderful time, and recommend this museum to anyone in the area

Outstanding! This is a brilliant little museum with a fascinating collection of pieces telling the story of the HMCS Alberni, as well as lots of other interesting bits on Canada's war history.
