It’s genuinely disappointing to encounter a business that fails to stand behind its products, and, in my view, this reflects a deeper issue with its overall approach. I recently purchased a bivy bag from this shop, intending to test it before embarking on a multi-day traverse of Strathcona Park. Unfortunately, the product was abysmal. By morning, my sleeping bag was soaked from condensation, the dual-zippered fly screen entry repeatedly fell across my face, causing me to wake up gasping for air, and the zipper system itself was a poorly designed mess—challenging to use in the dark and fundamentally flawed in its execution. Given these serious issues, I attempted to return the item, which remains in perfect condition as I even used a ground sheet to keep it clean. I was met with resistance from the manager, who flatly refused to accept the return or even offer a store credit for a different purchase. This left me with a product I couldn't use and no recourse. As a small business owner in the valley, I understand the importance of customer satisfaction. I’ve always believed that if a customer isn’t happy, the product should be returned. In this case, the product didn't just fail to meet its promised features, it failed entirely. Yet, the business refused to stand by its product, a clear breach of trust and integrity. This is a troubling example of a company that prioritizes sales over service. When a product doesn’t live up to its advertised claims, it is the responsibility of the business to either remedy the situation or offer a refund. Valhalla Pure chose to do neither, and as a result, they’ve lost my business for good.

Great Patagonia products, poor customer service. They need training, I would have spent more, but no interest in their customers. They greet you only at the cash when you check out. A small store like this can do better to serve their customers, this is a reflection of poor management.

Had my b#lls thoroughly busted trying to return a headlamp that was defective out of the box (and was previously opened). Even with a record of the sale they were hesitant to exchange it for me It was rude and a waste of my time.

I purchased a pair of waterproof hiking shoes before leaving for a trip across Canada. I spent three months on the road doing a lot of walking and hiking. The shoes were amazing until I went to Antigua for a month, during the time I was in Antigua my hiking shoes got wet and shrunk. They became so tight on my baby toes that I got blisters. I contacted the store owner after I was told there would not be any warranty, he went out of his way to gather more information about what happened to the shoes and what they were doing to my feet. He then contacted the manufacturer and through his diligence the manufacturer covered warranty for me. I now have a new pair of shoes that are very comfortable, I have gained total confidence in Valhalla Pure Outfitters and will continue to do more business with them. I recommend anyone wanting to purchase from this store to do so with confidence that you will be looked after. I also received a follow up email making sure I was satisfied. Thankyou Larry Baillie
