We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our dog, Boomer, down, and the staff at Van Isle were incredibly kind and compassionate. Alison, in particular, was amazing — she truly listened to our concerns, understood how difficult the decision was, and made us feel supported through every step. Her empathy and calm presence made a painful day feel a little more manageable. We’re deeply grateful for the care and respect shown to Boomer and our family. Highly recommend Van Isle for anyone needing thoughtful, compassionate veterinary care.

We moved to the valley over a year ago and have been bringing our old greyhound to Van isle since we moved here. Our pup being 13 years almost 14, went into Van isle quite a few times over the past year for various health issues, checkups and monthly Librella shots. She was always treated with excellent tender care. The staff were helpful, informative and transparent everytime we had questions.
Today we went in for an x-ray and found out our pup had cancer and a painful leg fracture. We were faced with the difficult decision to put our old girl to rest and the staff was just so caring and accommodating during this emotional process. They even put our two young kids in a private room with colouring crayons and stickers to keep them busy while my wife and I said our final goodbyes to our old girl.
Thank you so much Van isle for providing excellent care this past year to our wonderful greyhound.

I am leaving a review on Van Isle Veterinary Hospital on how my family feels very strongly about their care and support of our pets. We have been with Van Isle for over nine years now and through that time we have met many staff who gave us excellent care for our pets and used staff who did pet care on the side at our home. There is a cycle of love and death that shapes the lives of those who choose to travel in the company of animals and we have had many highs and lows over the years especially recently with our pets. Every single time when tragically our pet's health was in question or it was time to say goodbye we could depend on Van Isle to have our pets seen the same day or the next and their professionalism, information, explanation of diagnosis, test results, procedures and support were everything we needed and wanted and more. Van Isle Veterinary Hospital never tried to sell us something we did not want or push a procedure on us that our pets did not need in fact on the contrary they always gave us the realistic picture, helped us save money and never sugar-coated any prognosis. Unfortunately, our pets have had to go through surgeries, blood tests, and ultrasounds but they were always given compassionate care by knowledgeable professionals and our pets as well as we benefited so much. Over the last one and a half years we have lost three dogs mainly to cancer including our girl yesterday so we have some experience in what you really need for your pet and yourself and Van Isle is the only veterinary hospital we will go to because when your family member needs immediate good care you don’t have to think twice in where to go to find it.

My gratitude to the staff at Van Isle is immense. Every vet I have seen there had a special touch with my tricky old lady husky, where at other clinics they have struggled with her prickly nature. In particular when it came to making that end of life decision Dr. Audeau was the most compassionate soul and I truly appreciated her and everyone there when the time came. They aren't the cheapest, but their hours are fantastic and every vet there has impressed me. Thanks for your excellent service.
