I love this library. The librarians are exceptionally helpful and really try to make the library an inclusive space that serves the community. I've booked rooms for personal and volunteer work, asked for recommendations for different books etc and they never fail to support on meaningful ways. I have a neurodivergent family and sometimes volume control and choice of words isn't exactly what you'd typically expect in a library setting but we have never failed to be welcomed with unassuming smiles.

Great facilities, fireplace is cute. Had an incident where a homeless couple were yelling at each other inside and the librarian talked to them diplomatically. The security guard didn't get involved or power trip, it was all dealt with in a very respectful way.

Absolutely gorgeous, beautifully designed library. Spacious and inviting. Loads of options and seating for interacting with the contents, computers, stacks, and research materials. Courtenay is very fortunate to have such a lovely space!

There is two side to that library:
The good side :
-> Really nice staff
-> Nice Security guard
-> Good wifi!
-> Cozy fire to work close from
-> Good selection of book
-> Easy membership access
The bad side :
Lots and a lots ! Of homeless people and drug addict coming in and out. I know they are just trying to get some warmth.
But sometimes, you don’t feel safe. They start talking loud and come close to you and disturbs.
I found some times in the bathroom some past out (due to drugs) woman on the seats or floor.
Quite sad.
Here’s the truth about that place ! :)
