With so many great places to eat in the Comox Valley, we waited way too long to try Yiamas Greek Taverna. Fabulous food, generous size portions and great service!
Our Server, Chris went above and beyond to make a memorable dining experience for us! The food is authentic Greek cuisine and the menu is diverse and complete. They also offer a well stocked beer and wine list. The decor is simple casual, Greek inspired that gives you a cosy and comfortable atmosphere while you dine. I’ve been to many Greek restaurants across the country and the USA and this is one of the best I’ve ever been too. We will most definitely be returning with guests visiting the valley.

Highly recommend! ate numerous lunches and dinners here while staying in town for work, the food, service and atmosphere were always superb. Food was delicious and in big portions, and the specials were always interesting too (oven baked cannelloni stuffed with chicken, spinach and feta, covered in tomato sauce and cheese, was superb). Speedy friendly service, very clean and calm environment, cannot ask for a better dining experience imo.

Ok this place is an absolute staple of the community they have been here along time! The food is really good and priced more than fair for the large portions you always have leftovers and my kids love Greek food!! The Greek salad is always fresh and delicious and we get the large to have some the next day. Their roasted potatoes are sooo authentically made and delicious as well as the tzatziki and hummus, the lamb is always cooked to order. We went for a birthday lunch last week and the service was so friendly and welcoming and she made really good cocktails! The establishment is in an older area of town and in an older building with interesting tenants that congregate outside sometimes -so the atmosphere lost one point but it’s clean inside and the owners can’t control the demographics of the town. Overall I highly recommend this place for dine in and especially take out for fresh delicious home made Greek flavours that are consistent and give you enough for another meal the next day.

Absolutely fantastic meal. I ordered the calamari dish and it blew me away. It came with deep-fried squid, rice, baked potato, baked carrot, baked eggplant, a Greek salad, and tzatziki. Every single component was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The portions were very generous, and the higher price was well worth it for the quality and amount of food.
I also had the baklava, which was clearly homemade and incredibly delicious. The piece was huge, rich, and very satisfying. Again, the price reflected the portion and quality.
Overall, this felt like truly authentic Greek food and hands down the best Greek meal I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.
