Clinic when open is great. However, there has been issues with booking system until as of late and ironically that is the only way to get appt other than showing up. However their limited operating hours makes showing up a hit or a miss. They do post a printed copy on the door, but that only helps if you’re there! Note to clinic: please post your actual operating hours & dates online!

This is such a dangerous and irresponsible way to operate a "walk-in" clinic. The outcome for patients not being able to access basic Healthcare can be detrimental and life altering. Besides the painful and frustrating experience of trying to book an appointment on the website, there never seems to be any open spots for appointments, no time or dates listed on the sight to give patients piece of mind, let alone the 12 hour cancelation process that if not finalized on their end becomes a 93$ fee. This needs to be addressed to the island health authority.
And a Google search stating the hours of operation needs to be updated other than tapping a piece of paper to the front doors. Extremely unprofessional to say the least.

Been trying to get an appointment here for 2 months logging on 3 times a day but it always says fully booked. A friend logged on one time and recieved multiple booking options. Only open for online booked walk-in appointments.

When I broke my collarbone two
summers ago the doctor working at this clinic prescribed me “8 weeks of work” instead of “8 weeks off work” resulting in issues with my medical EI.
The fact that Walmart clinic is the best that Courtenay has to offer for walk in clinic appointments is atrocious. Canada needs to do better and support our health care workers and facilities.
Tried to walk into the clinic today at 7:05am only to hear there isn’t a Dr working today. Leaving clients only able to go to the ER or the Urgent care unit?? Truly we need more support in the health care system.

This clinic is no longer a walk-in and requires an online appointment. There are never any appointments available, with no indication of how far in advance you can book or when new appointment slots are available. If it says there are no appointments available, it would be helpful to know if that meant for the next 48 hours, or week, or anything. The clinic does not answer the phone either, so there's no ability to get any questions answered. It's all irrelevant anyway because if you have never been a patient there before, you can't book an appointment at all! How can you register as a patient if you don't answer the door or phone? Abysmal.
